Welcome to the month of October! Here, you can find out about events we have planned for you this month!!

October 1st (10/1) : CED Tabling + Diversity Caucus!

Tabling time: 8:30 AM ~ 9:50AM
Location: SJSU Student Union Ball Room

Diversity Caucus: 2:00 PM ~ 3:00PM
Location: SJSU Student Union Meeting Room 3B

October 6th~8th (10/6~10/8) : SASE National Convention

National Convention 2022 is a 3 day 2 night networking event taking place in Atlanta, Georgia. Through this event, all 32 chapters of SASE from all over the country gather in Atlanta to attend workshops, panels, and networking events are all designed specifically for students such as you! Although sign ups have already passed, National Convention is an annual event! Just be sure to mark your calendars for the next time it comes around!

October 8th (10/8) : Mentorship Program: Bowling Social

Location: Student Union Bowling Alley
Time: 5:00PM ~ 6:00PM
For Mentors and Mentees only! Come join us at the bowling alley to roll the awkwardness of meeting new people away! 

October 14th (10/14) : Mentorship Program: Online Game Night

Location: Discord
Time: Around 8:00PM
For Mentors and Mentees only! If coming to events in person is hard, then this one is for you! Come meet mentors and mentees on a more accessible platform, Discord! Come play some fun online games while getting to know each other!

October 15th (10/15) : Intel Networking: Intel Company Tour w/ UCSC Chapter

Location: Intel at Santa Clara (2200 Mission College Blvd, Santa Clara, CA 95054)
Time: 9AM ~ 1PM

Ever been curious about what its like to work at Intel? Want to see the opportunities they has as well as get some networking done? Then this event is for YOU! Come join us at Intel as we join UCSC in touring Intel! There will be a $5 attendance fee but if you volunteer to be a driver, it will be waived! Sign ups for this event will CLOSE ON OCTOBER 9TH(10/9)! 


October 19th (10/19) : SASE x SCE Pumpkin Carving/Painting



Location: ENGR 285/7
Time: 4:00PM ~ 6:00PM

Want to get into the spooky season mood? Want to get to know our fellow engineering organization SCE? Then come join us at our pumpkin carving/painting event! Come bring the pumpkin of your dreams to life as you connect with other fellow engineers! 


October 21st (10/21) : Second General Meeting + Mentorship Program: Post Meeting Food Social

Location: BBC 322
Time: 4PM
Did you miss out on the First general meeting? Did you join after the first general meeting already passed? Well lucky you! We will be having our second general meeting on October 21st! At these meetings, we will be giving you updates about upcoming events that we will have planned for you! Once the meeting is over, we will also be having a post meeting food social! The location will be announced the day of the meeting so be sure to come through!!

October 22nd (10/22) : LinkedIn Photoshoot 

Location: Tower Lawn
Time: 9AM
Have you been struggling to find a professional photo? Or maybe your photo is just outdated? Now's your chance to get a stunning photo of yourself taken by own very own Media Chair, Nathan Tran! Yes, the time is a little early but when else will you have better lighting? Hope to see everyone come through!

October 24th~28th (10/24~10/28) : Karan's Watch Party

Time: TBA (on discord!)
Come join us near the end of October to destress and just chill together in discord, led by our very own vice president, Karan! 

October 28th (10/28) : LinkedIn Workshop w/ Stephen Lu

Time: 4PM
